What is the difference between owning a hive and sponsoring a hive?
Owning a hive gives you a professionally managed hive established for you, along with its honey, seasonal updates and owner benefits. Sponsoring a hive supports local bees and biodiversity while providing sponsor perks without owning a specific hive.
How is my hive cared for?
Honey & Hive handles the day-to-day work, including inspections, seasonal care, colony health checks, maintenance and harvesting. The hives remain professionally managed on our property.
Where are the hives located?
Our hives are located and cared for on Honey & Hive property in Windsor–Essex County, Ontario, surrounded by local gardens, fields and seasonal wildflowers.
What do I receive as an owner or sponsor?
Owners receive honey from their professionally managed hive, seasonal updates and owner benefits. Sponsor inclusions depend on the selected sponsorship level and may include honey, updates and other sweet perks.
Can I visit my hive?
The apiary is not open for unscheduled visits. Contact us to ask about visit availability, seasonal timing and any safety requirements.
Is beekeeping safe?
Our hives are managed using responsible beekeeping and safety practices. Bees are living insects, so stings are still possible; anyone with a known allergy should speak with a medical professional before entering an apiary.
Can I give a sponsorship as a gift?
Yes. A hive sponsorship can make a meaningful gift for someone who loves bees, nature and local environmental initiatives. Contact us so we can help arrange the details.
